How to Associate SNOMED CT Codes with Procedure Codes

Practices in England can associate procedure codes with SNOMED CT codes in support of future NHS claim data requirements. 

To associate a SNOMED code:

1. From the Administration tab, select Procedures & Fees > Procedure List & Fee Schedule. 
2. Select a procedure from the list, and then click Edit Selected Procedure. The Update Procedure window is displayed.
   
3. In the SNOMED Code field, enter the appropriate value for this procedure.
4. Click Update. 

Note: You can also enter a SNOMED Code value when creating a new procedure.
