Sensei Cloud allows you to delete NHS claims when the need arises, such as if you have created a treatment plan for the wrong patient or completed the wrong items within the plan.
You can perform the following procedure to remove the treatment plan from Sensei Cloud and also delete the claim from the NHS COMPASS system, ensuring that you are reporting accurate data to them.
To delete an NHS claim:
- Delete the claim from the NHS board's end.
- From the Claims Management screen (Location > NHS Claims or Patient > NHS Claims), select the claim. The Update NHS Claim window is displayed.
- Click Resubmission Options.
- Click Create New Submission.
- Select Delete Original Claim.
- Select Mark as Ready To Send.
- Send the claim. The claim returns with a note advising that the claim has been deleted and also deleted from COMPASS.
Note: See How to Send and Receive NHS EDI Claims for more information. - From the Patient Ledger, adjust the charges for the procedures that need to be deleted. Select Remove Entry, enter an adjustment comment, and then click Adjust Charge.
See How to Adjust or Remove Charges on the Patient Ledger for more information. - When all of the related charges/procedures have been removed, navigate to the patient's treatment plans (Patient > Treatment Plans).
- Click the treatment plan name to open it. The Viewing Treatment Plan window is displayed.
- Select Uncomplete Treatment Plan. See How to Reopen Completed NHS Treatment Plans for more information.
- Select Edit Treatment Plan Details. The Manage Treatment Plan window is displayed.
- From the Actions column for the procedure, click the Uncomplete arrow
icon.
- Click the
icon to remove the procedures from the treatment plan.
- Repeat Steps 13-14 until all of the procedures have been removed.
- Click Save Changes.
- From the Viewing Treatment Plan window, hover over the Information
icon, and then click Delete Plan and Claim. The treatment plan status is changed to Declined and the NHS Claim is deleted.
- If you need to also recreate the treatment plan, proceed to the Recreating the Treatment Plan / Course of Treatment section. If you simply needed to delete the plan from the NHS then you do not need to perform the following procedure.
Recreating the Treatment Plan / Course of Treatment
If the treatment plan was incorrect and a new plan is needed to replace it (or if an error occurred with the initial plan), you have the ability to recreate the plan.
To recreate the treatment plan:
- From the Patient tab, select Treatment Plans.
- From the Actions menu, select Create New Plan. The Create New Treatment Plan window is displayed.
- Amend the date in the Plan Name to the date when the plan should have been accepted.
- Select any additional options as required.
- Click OK. The Manage Treatment Plan window is displayed.
- Add procedures to the treatment plan.
- Complete the plan.
- From the Update NHS Claim window, expand the Incomplete Treatment and Treatment Dates menu.
- Amend the Acceptance and Completion dates to the proper dates.
- Click Update.
