If a patient does not return to complete their NHS treatment, the course of treatment must be marked as Failed to Return (FTR).
How to Mark a Course as Failed to Return:
Open the patient record
Locate and open the patient’s record.Go to the Treatment Plans tab
Select the Treatment Plans tab, then open the active course of treatment.Access the course options
Hover over the information
icon next to the course of treatment.Select “Mark as Failed to Return”
From the menu, choose Mark as Failed to Return.

Confirm how to handle incomplete items
When prompted, choose whether to move any incomplete treatment items to a separate treatment plan.Select the option that best suits your workflow.
Once confirmed, the course of treatment and its corresponding NHS claim will be updated and marked as FTR (Failed to Return).
