How to Send and Receive NHS EDI Claims

To send and receive NHS EDI Claims:

1. From the Location tab, select NHS Claims > Claims Management.
2. Under Actions, click Send/Receive Claims. The Send/Receive NHS Claims window is displayed.
3. Click Login for the dentist for whom you want to send/receive claims. The Enter PIN window is displayed.
   
4. Enter the EDI PIN.
   Note: You can enable the ability to transmit claims without having to enter the Provider PIN for each transmission. See Retaining NHS PINs for Claim Data Transmission for more information.
5. Click OK.
6. Click Send/Receive.
   Note: In support of CCN 63 for practices in England and Wales, Sensei Cloud enables Dental Hygienists, Therapists, and Clinical Dental Technicians to create and send NHS claims using their own personal number (Administration > Team Member Settings > Professional Information).

Retaining NHS PINs for Claim Data Transmission

NHS Practices can more efficiently transmit NHS claims by enabling the ability to send or receive claims without entering the Provider’s PIN for each transmission.

The Retain NHS PIN for Claim Data Transmission setting must be enabled in the Administration tab (Administration > Practice Settings > NHS Settings) to enable practices to save Provider PINs for automatic entry.

When this setting is enabled (set to Yes), the PIN will need to be re-entered for each provider the first time that NHS claims are transmitted.

After the first time, the Provider PIN is saved and is automatically entered at the time of transmission. The Send/Receive NHS Claims window allows you to select the providers to include in the claim batch (without re-entering the Provider PINs).
