New Features, Fixes, and Enhancements
This release includes the following enhancements:
Updated Accounts Receivable Aging Buckets
The Accounts Receivable aging buckets now provide more detailed aging information, as the previously existing 91 Days + bucket has been split into two buckets: 91-120 Days and 121+ Days.
The new aging buckets provide greater visibility into older outstanding balances, helping you easily spot patient accounts that may need attention.
Within the Accounts Receivable worklist (Location or All Locations > Financials > Accounts Receivable), the new aging buckets are reflected in both the summary KPIs and the worklist columns.
Tip: Take a look at the color bar beneath the summary KPIs to quickly see the general proportion of accounts in each aging bucket. The darkest red aligns with accounts that are aged 121+ Days.
The new aging buckets are also visible from the Accounts Receivable widget on the All Locations or Location > Home tab as well as on each Patient Ledger.
Note: The updated aging buckets are going to be expanded to include reporting, statements, and other financial documents in a future release of Sensei Cloud.
See How to Print the Accounts Receivable Report for more information.
Automatically Prompt to Apply Payments to a Refund
You now have the ability to allocate a Refund to the original payment(s) immediately as part of the refund posting process. When enabled, you are prompted to select from the patient's previous payments and apply to the refund. This helps improve accuracy and eliminates the need to remember to allocate the refund later.
Refund allocations are reflected in the Collections by Provider report (created via the Report Generator), so provider collections accurately account for refunded amounts within the distribution period.
Important: These prompts must be enabled from the Administration tab (Admin > Practice Settings > Financial Rules > Credit Distribution Rules) by setting Automatically Prompt to Distribute to Yes.
From the Patient Ledger, simply post a refund using the normal Adjust Balance process. Directly after selecting Save Changes, the Apply Refund window is displayed.
The top of the window displays details such as the user who posted the refund and the refund amount. As you select payments and enter allocation amounts, the Applied and Left to be paid values update automatically.
The first table lists the patient's previous payments along with important information such as the payment amount, the amount of the payment that is currently applied to debits, and the number of charges and providers to which the payment is allocated is displayed.
To apply payments to the refund:
- Select one or more payments to apply to the refund using the checkboxes. The currently selected payment is highlighted in blue.
- Enter the amount to allocate per payment using the Apply to this Refund column field.
- When you select a payment that has existing allocation to services or providers, these allocations are displayed in the second table underneath Step 2. Reallocate the amount of your choice by adjusting the value in the Allocated column.
Note:
--There may be more than one provider or charge listed and you can adjust as many as needed.
-- If a payment has already been fully allocated to charges and providers, the Apply to this Refund amount (in the first table) defaults to $0.00. To apply part of that payment to the refund, you must first reduce the amount currently allocated to charges or providers, making those funds available for refund allocation. - Click Save. The refund is applied to the payment(s) and any changes that were made to existing allocations are saved. The refund allocation is included in the Applied Payments Report as well.
See How to Post a Refund to a Patient Balance for more information.
New Clinical Event Cards Added to the Clinical Chart (EMR)
Sensei Cloud now records additional key clinical events in the Clinical Chart (EMR), including:
- Soft Tissue Exams
- Periodontal Exams
- Orthodontic Treatment Status Changes
When a soft tissue or perio exam is recorded or a patient's ortho treatment status changes, a card is automatically added to the clinical chart. This gives you a more complete view of the patient's treatment history in a single location.
Each card displays notes and high-level details associated with the event, such as the team member who performed the exam or executed the treatment status change, and the date and time it occurred. You can also select an action that quickly takes you directly to the exam or orthodontic chart.

Additional NHS Contract Updates (UK Only)
Additional enhancements have been made in Sensei Cloud to meet the latest requirements (CCN 84, 86, 93, and 94) for NHS claims:
Miscellaneous Trauma Care Package (Wales)
Welsh NHS practices can now claim for miscellaneous trauma-related injuries using the new trauma care package. Trauma work carried out on or after 1 April 2026 is captured and submitted correctly, alongside most other care packages on the same claim.
Denture Warranty (Wales)
Sensei Cloud now supports the new 24-month denture warranty for NHS Wales. When a denture under the Denture Care Package is indicated as being provided under warranty, Sensei generates the correct warranty claim (with the required 24-month marker), which the NHS validates against the patient's 24-month history, ensuring that warranty work is submitted compliantly.
Pre-Selecting Clinician Declaration for Complex Care Pathways (England)
When a clinician declaration is mandatory on an NHS claim, Sensei now selects it automatically, saving clicks and preventing claims from being delayed by missed declarations. The declaration is also automatically deselected if the condition that made it mandatory no longer applies. Optional declarations still default to deselected. Additionally, the declarations have been relocated to the top of the claim interface.
Selecting Individual Claims within a Complex Care Pathway (England)
Clinicians can now select and view any individual claim within a Complex Care Pathway sequence, rather than being limited to the most recent one. Previous/next navigation is available from both the CCP list and the clinical chart, making it easy to review, track, and work with historical pathway claims.
Denture-Related Adjustments (England & Wales)
NHS denture claims now comply with the April 2026 coding requirements. Sensei Cloud uses the correct current codes for denture additions, relines, rebases and repairs, applies the clinician declaration, and displays the right UDA values. This helps ensure that claims are not rejected by NHSBSA for retired or invalid codes. Denture repairs correctly show 2 UDAs instead of 1 (England).

- Appointment tiles on the scheduler now show each procedure's tooth numbers directly, without needing to open the appointment tile preview first.

- Adding bridges in the dental chart no longer causes calculation problems and errors on NHS treatment plans. UK Only
- NHS claims no longer prompt for a free exam when no exam has actually been added. UK Only
