You can configure both automatic and manual recalls in Patient Bridge, giving your practice more control over recall communications and keeping your appointment diary organised, efficient, and fully booked.
Automatic Recalls
Automatic recalls disperse recalls on a day-to-day basis, which can be more manageable for staff. For example, if recall reminders are configured for 1 Month pre-appointment, Patient Bridge automatically uses the current date to send recall reminders for 1 month from today. (Hence, reminders for 1 July appointments go out on 1 June.)
To configure automatic recalls:
- From the main menu, select Communications > Recalls.
- Select Configure Recalls > Add Recall.
The Add New Recall window is displayed. - Enter a Name for this configuration, such as Dental Recalls.
- Tick the box for Automatically send?.
- Specify whether to send Due recalls or Overdue recalls.
- Specify a timeframe forward from today's date.
- Select whether to send recalls Via Email, Via SMS, Via Letter, or a combination of these options.
- Select a template to use for the recall message.
- Select a group from the list.
Note: Groups are configured in the Manage Groups section. - Click Confirm to save the changes.
Manual Recalls
Manual recalls give your practice the flexibility to send reminders whenever you need them. Use manual recalls alongside the automated reminder campaigns you already have in place. Simply enter the desired recall date range and click Send.
To configure manual recalls:
- From the main menu, select Communications > Recalls.
- Select Configure Recalls > Add Recall.
The Add New Recall window is displayed. - Enter a Name for this configuration, such as Manual Recall.
- Do NOT select Automatically send?.
- Select Overdue.
- Do NOT select a Timeframe.
- Click Confirm. The Manual Recall type has been created.
- On that line, select Actions > Manage Recall Channels.
- Select Add Recall Channel.
- Select whether to send recalls Via Email, Via SMS, or Via Letter.
- Select a template to use for the recall message.
- Select a group from the list.
- Click Confirm to save the changes.
- Complete this process for each method of of reminders you want to send: Email, SMS, or Letter.
