You can start a dental referral for a patient from the Patient Record within Patient Bridge.
To navigate to a patient record, either type the patient’s name into the Patient Search field on the main menu navigation bar, or click Patients from the main menu and then enter the patient’s name in the Patient Search field.
Locate the patient's name, and then click View Patient to access the patient record.
To create an online referral from the Patient Record:
- Click the Actions drop-down list button, and choose Prepare a Dental Referral Form or Prepare a Rego Form (dependent on the service required).
- Click the Prepare a Dental Referral Form or Prepare a Rego Referral Form button from the patients details section in the main body of the patient record page.
When one of these options is selected, a pop-up window is displayed, allowing the user to choose from a list of referral forms for the respective referral service. - To select a form, click the Select a form to prepare: drop-down menu, and then type the form name in the search box (or scroll down to select the appropriate referral form). The user is instantly redirected into the respective referral service's online referral form.
The form is automatically populated with some of the patient’s basic details, including:
- Patient Gender (as per the DPMS patient record)
- Patient Title (as per the DPMS patient record)
- Patient First Name
- Patient Last Name
- Patient Date of Birth
- Patient Postcode
- Patient Address
- Patient Town or City
- Patient Contact Number (defaults to Mobile, if available)
- Patient Email Address (if available)
The user will then complete the referral process as per the usual referral.
