Sensei Cloud allows you to create label templates which you can then use to print labels for patients for various purposes. For example, you can print a patient address label for a mailing envelope or print a label for a patient chart, using a locally-installed label printer of your choice.
To access the Label Templates screen, from the Administration tab, select Templates > Label Templates. You must have Administrator permissions to create and edit label templates.
The available label template categories are: Patient, Patient Chart, Responsible Party, Insurance, and Referral.
Existing templates are listed on the left side panel. There are five existing system-supplied default templates, one per each category. The appropriate merge fields are included for each template.
Default templates are indicated by a green-filled star. Click the star icon next to a template name to make it the new default template for the category.
Note: You can filter the available templates by one or more of the available categories. Click Reset to remove the filters from the template list.
To create a new label template:
- Under Actions, click Create New Template. The Label Template window is displayed.
- Select a template category from the drop-down list.
- Enter a template name.
- Enter the height and width (in inches) for the label.
Note: You can adjust the size to meet the defaults for your label printer. - Select whether the template is the default for the template category.
Note: You can also select defaults from the Template List, by toggling the staricon.
- Select a status. This defaults to Active.
- Use the text controls to create the body of the template.
- Click Add Merge Fields to insert merge fields where the cursor is currently located in the template.
Tip: You can search for a specific merge field or use the drop-down list to filter the merge field list to a certain merge field category. - To import an image into the template, click the Image icon and select the file to upload. Use the controls to adjust the image, and click Add.
- Click Save Template.
From the Actions menu, you can also:
- Edit Selected Template: Select an existing template and make changes as needed.
- Copy Selected Template: Copy an existing template and assign a new name or format.
-
Delete Selected Template: Remove a template from the list.
Note: The five system supplied templates cannot be deleted. However, you can edit the templates or change the default templates.
