New Features, Fixes, and Enhancements
Treatment Plan List Enhancements
In response to requests by larger Sensei Cloud practices, the Treatment Plan List (Location or All Locations > Appt Worklists) has been enhanced with new functionality to help you manage treatment plans.
Pre-Auth Sent
The new Pre-Auth Sent setting and column provide a way to track whether a Pre-Authorization was sent for an open Treatment Plan.
- When you submit a pre-authorization through Sensei Cloud, the Treatment Plan List automatically updates the new Pre-Auth Sent column to Yes and includes the Claim Number and Sent On date in the line item details.
- If you obtain pre-authorization through another method (i.e., telephone or fax), you can manually select the Pre-Auth Sent checkbox to change the status to Yes. You can also manually deselect this option to change the status to No if needed.
Note: Additional details are not included when this is selected manually.
For more information, see How to Get Prior Authorization for Treatment Planned Work.
Additional Plan Statuses
To enable more flexibility and detail when managing treatment plans, additional plan statuses have been added.
Note: The new statuses are available in the US and for private (non-NHS) treatment plans in the UK.
Update Status
Use the new button on the Manage Treatment Plan window (Manage Treatment Plan > Edit Treatment Plan Details > Update Status) to assign one of the following statuses:
The default for a new treatment plan is Proposed. You can update the status of a plan as you manage it through the process used in your practice and add notes about each update.
Note: Specific user actions still automatically update the treatment plan status accordingly. For example, when all of a plan's procedures are scheduled (or some completed) the status updates to Scheduled. Rejecting a plan updates the status to Declined. Completing all procedures updates the status to Completed. However, you can override the status manually with this functionality.
Status Filters
Use the new Plans that are (Status) filter on the Treatment Plan List to refine the worklist when managing and scheduling treatment plans.
For more information, see How to Access the Location Treatment Plan List, Using the Location Treatment Plan List (UK), and How to Create or Edit a Patient Treatment Plan.
Anesthesia Usage Worklist
For Oral Surgery practices, a new worklist has been added that enables you to track the drugs and gases used in your practice during surgery, along with the date, time, dose, CNRA who administered the drug, and other relevant details.
You can use this worklist to help track inventory of surgical drugs and gases, audit anesthetic usage in general, or specifically audit the administration of controlled substances during surgery.
- The filter list lets you refine the list by Location, Date Range, Provider, CRNA, and Drug/Gas.
- The default date is Today, but you can select/customize a date range up to the last 31 days.
- Sort the list by clicking the column heads.
- Print or Export Current View to save the data for your records.
To access this list, select Location or All Locations > To Do > Anesthesia Usage Worklist.
For more information, see How to Use the Anesthesia Usage Worklist.
Referral Activity Report Breakdown
The Referral Activity screen (Location or All Locations > To Do > Referral Activity) has been enhanced with new filters/columns that enable you to more accurately track the activity of a Referral Source as it relates to a Practice Location or specific Provider.
- Referred-To-Location: Select this to add the column and display referral activity of a Source associated with appointments and posted procedures at a specified Location.
- Referred-To-Provider: Select this to add the column and display referral activity of a Source associated with appointments and posted procedures performed by a specified Provider.
TIP: Remember to click Apply Filter after updating your filter selections.
For more information, see How to Track Referral Activity.
