Practices have the ability to inactivate old or unused procedures. To do so, you must mark the code as inactive.
Note: Marking a procedure as inactive will not remove existing instances within patient records. However, the inactive procedure code will no longer be available for selection.
To mark a procedure as inactive:
- From the Administration tab, select Procedures & Fees > Procedure List & Fee Schedule.
- Locate the code that you want to mark as inactive and click its code number to access the Update Procedure window.
- In the Status field, click Inactive.
- Click Update.
Note: You have the ability to reset inactive procedures to an Active state from the Update Procedure window. You can quickly locate inactive procedures by using the filter on the left side panel to display Inactive procedures only.
