Viewing Patient Images
To view patient images:
- From the Patient tab, select Clinical > Images.
Note: For Ortho patients, select Clinical > Ortho Clinical Summary > View Images.
The patient's Images list is displayed.
Note: Under Actions, you can switch the view settings to List or Grid. - If viewing images in List mode, click on the image file name to expand the selection.
When an image is selected, you can choose to remove or download the file, or click Open in Imaging to view or manage it in the imaging software you are using.
Acquiring Patient Images
The Acquire New Image control is on the patient's Images list, under Actions. The steps for acquiring an image depend on how Imaging is enabled and configured for your practice. Sensei Cloud prompts you if actions need to be taken.
- If more than one imaging solution is enabled, you are prompted to select one and then click Launch Imaging.
- If you are prompted to do so, click Open CSD.Phoenix.AcquisitionLauncher.
- If you are acquiring images for a patient for the first time, you may need to install the Patient Imaging Bridge.
Note: If you have issues viewing or acquiring images for a patient, this might be because the device you are using or the images you are trying to view are on another location. If you experience this issue, verify that you have the correct location set as your logged in location and change the location if needed. See How to Switch Between Practice Locations for Multi-Location Practices for more information.
Patient Imaging Bridge
The Patient Imaging Bridge is a one-way bridge that connects a patient record in Sensei Cloud to the patient's stored images. All acquired images remain in the original storage location, such as the acquisition machine or local network folder. Stored images are not uploaded to the cloud or directly accessible within Sensei Cloud. The patient name or ID serves as the connection between Sensei Cloud and the installed imaging software.
To install the Imaging Bridge:
- From the Patient tab, select Clinical > Images.
- Under Actions, select Install Imaging Bridge. A Minimum Requirements prompt is displayed with more information.
Note: The Imaging Bridge that is installed is based on the imaging software selected in Location Imaging Setup. - Click Install Bridge.
- When the bridge installation is complete, click Acquire New Image to launch the image acquisition software and pass the patient information to the acquisition client. This ensures that newly acquired images are associated with the correct patient and enables you to review the patient’s existing images.
