When viewing a Patient Appointment in the schedule, the SMS Reminder is greyed out in the Appointment Details screen.
The Send SMS Reminder field is not available if:
- Patient has opted out of SMS Reminders.
- Patient does not have a mobile telephone number.
- An SMS Reminder has already been delivered within the parameters of how the office has set up the reminders. See below.
Example: A patient has an appointment in two days, and the office has configured SMS Reminders to send a message two days prior to patient appointments.
The Reminders log on the patient appointment shows a status of Delivered for the SMS Message.
If a patient appointment still has the option available to Send SMS Reminders, the message failed to be delivered.
