Use the Hard Tissue Chart to manage watches. When watches are created, they are added to the list of clinical events displayed in the Clinical Chart (EMR) and Clinical Notes section of the Hard Tissue Chart.
Hard Tissue Chart
To create or edit a watch:
- From a Patient tab, select Clinical > Hard Tissue Chart.
- Click on a region or tooth and select Add/Edit Watch. If adding a new watch, the Add Watch window is displayed. If editing an existing watch, the Edit Watch window is displayed.
- Select Is Critical, or leave the checkbox blank.
- Enter or edit a note for the watch, and click Save. For critical watches, the tooth number or region is displayed in red. For non-critical watches, the color is orange.
To delete a watch:
- From a Patient tab, select Clinical > Hard Tissue Chart.
- Click on the region or tooth and select Add/Edit Watch. The Edit Watch window is displayed.
- Click Remove. The watch removal is documented in the Clinical Notes of the Hard Tissue Chart, and a record is also added in the the Clinical Chart (EMR) under the current date.
Clinical Chart (EMR)
You can view records of a patient's watches in the Clinical Chart (EMR), and you also have the ability to add notes to them.
To add a note to a watch:
- From a Patient tab, select Clinical > Clinical Chart (EMR).
- Hover your cursor over a Watch Added or Watch Removed record.
- Click Insert Note. The Clinical Note window is displayed.
- Select a template to start with, and then click Insert Text, or you can manually type a message.
- Click Save. The note is added to the record in the Clinical Chart (EMR) as well as the clinical note in the Hard Tissue Chart.
- Click the Pencil icon to edit the note, or click the X icon to remove it.
