To create a Pending Appointment from the Schedule or Diary:
- From the Location tab, click Schedule (US) or Diary (UK).
- Under Actions, click Schedule an Appointment. The Patient Search feature is displayed.
- Find and select the patient by clicking on their name. A panel is displayed with more options.
- Under Snapshot, click Book Now. The Appointment window is displayed.
- In the Search to add procedures field, add the procedures for the appointment.
Note: You can use the list on the right to search from a different list of procedures. - Click Save Appointment.
To create a Pending Appointment from the patient's Home tab:
- From the Patient Home tab, click Schedule an Appointment. The Appointment window is displayed.
- In the Search to add procedures field, add the procedures for the appointment.

Pending appointments are created automatically when the following action is taken on an appointment:
- Cancelled = Removes from the appointment book to the Pending List.
- Broken = Removes from the appointment book to the Pending List.
- Failed = Remains on the Scheduler and is added to Pending List.
