How to View Production Forecasting Data on the Schedule

For customers in the United States, you can view the month’s scheduled, remaining, and posted production amounts in the Schedule Day View.

To display the production data, the Display Schedule Production Data option must be enabled, first for the location, and then for the schedule for that location.
Note: The schedule setting is user-specific.

To enable this setting for a location:

1. Select Administration > Scheduler > Schedule Settings.
2. Select a location from the Select Locations menu on the left.
3. Click Edit Schedule Settings.
4. Select the Display Schedule Production Data option.
5. Click Save.

To enable this setting on the Schedule Day View:

1. From the Location tab, select Schedule. The Schedule Day View is displayed.
2. Under Actions, click the Manage Schedule View gear icon.
3. Select the Display Schedule Production Data option.

Production Data in the Schedule Day View

The Scheduled, Remaining, and Posted production amounts are displayed in the Schedule Day View beneath the selected date.

The production data amounts for a location are calculated as follows:

• Scheduled Amount: The sum of all scheduled fees for procedures in appointments for the entire month. This amount is updated, upon refreshing the Schedule Day View, any time an appointment that includes procedures is scheduled, edited (e.g. moved to a date within a different month), or cancelled.  
  Note: The Scheduled amount accounts for scheduled charges, whether they have been posted or not. This amount is most accurate if appointments are updated throughout the month, by performing actions such as cancelling appointments that did not occur or removing procedures that were not completed, etc. 
• Remaining Amount: The sum of all scheduled fees for procedures in appointments for the remainder of the current month. This amount includes today through the end of the month.
  Note: The Remaining amount is based on the scheduled date rather than appointment status, so checking an appointment in or out does not impact this total, but cancelling or moving an appointment to a new date will. 
• Posted Amount: A running sum of the posted charges to the associated location for the month, based on service date. This amount includes all posted charges for the month, even if they were not scheduled; for example, any charges that are posted directly to a patient's ledger or completed and posted directly from a treatment plan. 
  Note: The Posted amount is a gross production value and accounts for charge corrections and removals, but not for production-based transactions such as discounts or write-offs.

Note: If you want to determine if you are on track to meet your monthly production goal, you can add the remaining amount to the posted amount to give you the closest representation.

The production amounts that are displayed are dependent on the month. The Scheduled amount is displayed for all months. The Remaining amount is only displayed for the current month. The Posted amount is displayed for the current and previous one month.

Note: The monthly production values are hidden in the Week and Multi-Day views.

Production Data in Location Schedule Planning

You can also view monthly production data within Location Schedule Planning (Administration > Scheduler > Location Schedule Planning).

Select a location from the drop-down list, and then you can view six months of the schedule at a time. The Scheduled value is displayed on the left side of each month name, and the Remaining value is displayed on the right side of the current month only.
