How to Add a Patient Note

You can add a general note about the patient that is viewed internally from the patient's Hard Tissue Chart/Dental Chart, Clinical Chart (EMR), Ortho Clinical Summary, Patient Snapshot and Patient Home page under Contact Notes & History. Unlike a clinical note or patient notification, these notes supply general information about the patient to those providing care.

To add a patient note, click Add Note from one of the following places:

• Patient > Notes > Add Note
• Patient > Clinical > Hard Tissue Chart* (US) or Dental Chart (UK) > Patient Note > (hover for pencil icon)
  (*also Clinical Chart (EMR) and Ortho Clinical Summary)
• Patient Snapshot > Notes > Add Notes

When a note is added to this feature, it is displayed in the banner of the Hard Tissue Chart/Dental Chart, and in the other interfaces noted above.
