How to Add Notes to a Tooth in the Hard Tissue Chart or Dental Chart

Sensei Cloud enables you to create custom notes in the Hard Tissue Chart (US) or Dental Chart (UK) that are associated with a specific tooth. These notes are included in the Clinical History for a patient and can be edited as needed. 

You can quickly and easily spot teeth that have notes attached to them as they have an    indicator displayed in the Hard Tissue Chart / Dental graphical chart.

To add a note to a tooth:

1. Navigate to the patient's Hard Tissue Chart / Dental Chart (Patient > Clinical > Hard Tissue Chart / Dental Chart).
2. Select a tooth or part of a tooth.
   Note: If you select part of the tooth anatomy, the note is still associated with the entire tooth. The Add/Edit Tooth Notes option is disabled when you have selected multiple teeth (or anatomy from multiple teeth) at once. 
3. Click Add/Edit Tooth Notes. The Add to Tooth # window is displayed.
4. Click +New. The Hard Tissue / Dental Exam Note for Tooth # for [Patient Name] window is displayed. 
   
5. Type a note or select a template. You can also use the Voice Dictation feature, if enabled.
6. Click Save. The note is saved along with the date, time, and the user who created the note.

Additional Tooth Note Actions

Click Add/Edit Tooth Notes to view the patient's existing Hard Tissue / Dental Exam tooth notes.

From the Add to Tooth # window, you can use the icons on an existing tooth note to perform the following actions:

•  Print: Generates a PDF of the tooth note that you can print.
• Show History: Expands the history of the tooth note, such as the date and time that the text was edited. Click the icon again to collapse/hide the historical data.
• Edit: Launches the Hard Tissue / Dental Exam Note for Tooth # for [Patient Name] window and allows you to edit or sign the note. Be sure to click Save if you edited the text. 
• Remove: Removes the note. However, a record of the removal is still included in the list. 

From the Actions menu of the Patient Hard Tissue Chart / Dental Chart, you can also generate a PDF of the Clinical and Tooth Notes:

• Print Clinical Notes: Prints Clinical Notes and Tooth Notes for the selected date range in ascending or descending order.
• Print Clinical History: Includes the patient's Clinical History, including the Hard Tissue Chart / Dental Chart graphic as well as any Tooth Notes and Clinical Notes.
