Schedule / Diary Day View: Show Balance Status
In response to our top-voted UserVoice request, you can now view a patient's balance status and amount from the appointment tile on the Schedule or Diary. Enable this feature from the individual Manage Schedule View or Manage Diary View settings:
Select Location > Schedule/Diary > Manage Schedule View/Manage Diary View, and then select Show Balance Status.
- The color-coded Balance Status icon ($/£) is displayed in the corner of the appointment tiles. The color indicates the aging status of the balance, based on the oldest amount due:
Gray $/£ = zero or credit balance
Green $/£ = 0-30 days
Yellow $/£ = 31-60 days
Orange $/£ = 61-90 days
Red $/£ = 91+ days - Hover over the icon to display the amount and status:
For more information, see How to Manage the Schedule Day View.
Report Generator: Visit Report
A new report has been added to the Report Generator. Create a Visit Report to identify the number of patients seen (or expected) during a specified date range. This report generates a list of non-pending appointments and their associated totals and subtotals (depending on report settings), grouped by Provider and/or Appointment Type.
The report output provides additional data including: Patient Count, Appointment Count, Scheduled Procedure Count, Scheduled Production Value, as well as the number of New Patients on the list.
To generate a Visit Report, select Location or All Locations > Financials > Report Generator > Generate New Report. For the Report Type, select Visit Report.
- Define a Reporting Period for the report.
- You can Group By Provider or Appointment Type and select the Report Format for the desired level of detail. Report details are based on your selections.
- The generated report appears in the list. Select the line item to expand the details.
- Select
to view the report onscreen and adjust the table sizes to view the desired data.
- Click
to export the file, or
to create a PDF file for printing or saving.
For more information, see How to Create a Visit Report.
Adding a Discount to a Zero/Negative Balance Ledger
In response to customer requests, you are now able to post a Discount to a Ledger that has a zero or negative balance, resulting in a credit balance for the account. (Ledger > Adjust Balance > Discount) This is useful if you want to give patients a discount like a coupon code toward a future service or procedure, for example, or as a patient referral reward.
- Comments are required before saving.
- A "DISCOUNT" ledger entry is created that includes the comment/reason for the credit.
For more information, see How to Adjust a Patient Balance.
