Sensei Cloud allows you to create envelope and label templates which you can then use to print labels or envelopes for patients for various purposes. For example, you can print an envelope with a patient address label or print a label for a patient chart, using a locally-installed printer (or label printer) of your choice.
To access the Envelopes / Label Templates screen, from the Administration tab, select Templates > Envelope / Label Templates. You must have Administrator permissions to create and edit envelope / label templates.
The available label template categories are: Patient, Patient Chart, Responsible Party, Insurance, Referral, and Custom.
The templates are system-supplied and listed on the top of the screen. The appropriate merge fields are included for each template.
To edit an envelope / label template:
- Select a template.
- Under Actions, click Edit Template Settings. The template becomes editable.
- Select an Address position (for when you use the template to print an envelope).
Note: For example, you might select Position 2 if you are printing for an envelope that has a window in the center. - When Position 2 or 3 are selected for the Address position, you can select Return address to include a return address on the envelope.
Note: When selected, the return address used is the address of your logged-in location. - Enter the height and width (in inches) for if the template is used to print a label.
Note: You can adjust the size to meet the defaults for your label printer. - Use the text controls to create or edit the body of the template.
- Click Add Merge Fields to insert merge fields where the cursor is currently located in the template.
Tip: You can search for a specific merge field or use the drop-down list to filter the merge field list to a certain merge field category. - To import an image into the template, click the Image icon and select the file to upload. Use the controls to adjust the image, and click Add.
- Click Save Template.
