Sensei Cloud provides Ortho practices the ability to integrate with the DentalMonitoring platform by Dental Monitoring SAS. This integration lets providers create and manage DentalMonitoring patient records directly from Sensei Cloud. Contact your Carestream Dental representative to get DentalMontitoring turned on for your practice.
When this integration is enabled, you can enjoy the following benefits:

Automated Patient Matching:
Sensei Cloud automatically checks for matching patient records in the DentalMonitoring database during patient registration, using key identifiers such as first name, last name, date of birth, and email address. -
Real-Time Confirmation:
When a potential match is found, the system presents the matching record(s), displaying critical details such as the DentalMonitoring ID, phone number, email address, and any relevant notes for confirmation or selection. -
Seamless Data Synchronization:
Upon confirmation, Sensei Cloud links the patient record with the DentalMonitoring system, synchronizing critical status updates and patient data to maintain consistency across both platforms. -
Duplicate Prevention:
Built-in safeguards prevent duplicate registrations by ensuring that email addresses are unique to each DentalMonitoring patient. -
Fallback for No Match:
If no match is found, the system allows the registration process to proceed while adhering to the unique email address requirement.
Enabling the Integration for Doctors
When DentalMonitoring is enabled for your practice, you must set it up for each subscribing Doctor by entering a Secure Key:
- Select Administration > Team > Team Members. The Team Member Settings are displayed.
- Select the Doctor and click Edit Selected Team Member.
- Scroll down to Dental Monitoring Integration and click Set Secure Key.
- Enter the key and click OK.
The notation in the section changes to:
This user has been set up to track Dental Monitoring patients. - Select Save Team Member.
Enabling Dental Monitoring for a Patient
When DentalMonitoring is enabled and at least one Doctor is set up, you can access this feature from the patient's Orthodontic Clinical Summary.
- Select Patient > Clinical > Orthodontic Clinical Summary.
- In the DentalMonitoring section of the screen, click Register.
- Select the responsible provider from the list of Doctors set up for the practice.
Additional selection options are displayed. - Select or verify the relevant account and practice, and click Register.
The patient's Dental Monitoring status is changed to unstarted, and the option to View in Portal is displayed. - Click View in Portal. The DentalMonitoring interface opens for the patient, displaying the information pulled in from Sensei Cloud.
- Click Start monitoring and follow the prompts from the DentalMonitoring portal.
Note: Select Quickstart to begin the monitoring quickly. Once this process is established, the Orthodontic Clinical Summary will reflect the DentalMonitoring Status, Start/Due Dates, and Notes entered for the patient.
Use the View in Portal link to access DentalMonitoring as needed.
Sharing Information Between Sensei Cloud and Dental Monitoring
Use the DentalMonitoring portal to enter and share information.
- Use the Notes tab to add and updates notes that are shared to Sensei Cloud.
- Pause, resume, or stop monitoring and send a message to the patient.
- Share Scans, History, Files, or Scheduled actions.
