New Functionality for Patient Files
The addition of categories and filters to the Files screen (Patient > Patient Files) provides you with more control over the management and access of the files stored for a patient.
- Use the Name field to rename a file when uploading it to Patient Files.
- A Category is now required when uploading or scanning a new file. Categories are automatically assigned for system-generated files, such as statements, that are generated after the update.
- Select from the provided categories, or click Edit to add a new one or make a category active (available for selection) or inactive.
- You can use the Notes field to add comments or context when uploading a file.
- The Files window has a new sortable column for Category, and an Action column you can use to edit
the File Name or Category of a file.
- The Actions panel contains filters you can use to refine the list by Categories, Created by, and Upload Date.
- Select the Hide System Generated Files option to hide files added automatically (such as Statements) to refine the list.
Note: System-generated files added prior to this update are not automatically assigned a category and will not be hidden. You can manually assign categories to these files.
