Providers can communicate additional relevant appointment details to the front office, such as instructions for scheduling the patient’s next appointment.
The Notes for Checkout field in the Manage Today’s Appointment window enables you to convey messages, which are displayed in the Checkout Queue. This eliminates the need for any manual routing slips or the need for the provider to walk up with the patient to assist with checkout.
To create a Checkout Note:
- From the patient's Hard Tissue Chart/Dental Chart or other clinical interface, click Today’s Appointment.
- Enter a note in the Notes for Checkout field.
- Click Complete Appointment. The Checkout Notes field displays the note:
