If you are using the NEA FastAttach® service for electronic claims that accept attachments, you can attach images to an NEA FastAttach claim.
Note: If your practice stores images externally (outside of Sensei Cloud), please see How to Attach Images to an NEA Claim when Images are Stored Externally.
Attaching Images
Practices that are using Cloud Imaging and practices that are using Integrated (Non-Cloud) Imaging (i.e., practices that utilize the Sensei Imaging Bridge for CSI Imaging, Digora Imaging, etc.) can perform the following steps to attach images to an NEA FastAttach claim.
Note: Customers who use the Sensei Imaging service can directly view and attach images acquired via the XVWeb integration without needing to download a copy of the image and upload it directly via NEA FastAttach.
To attach images:
- From the Location tab, select Claims > Claims Management. Claims that need attachments are flagged as Awaiting Attachments.
- Select a claim to view the Claim Summary.
- Click Add Attachments. The Add New Claim Attachment(s) window is displayed.
Note: This window has a Cloud Imaging or an Image tab available, depending on the type of imaging that your practice uses. - Select the Image or Cloud Imaging tab. Images associated with the patient are displayed.
- Select images related to the claim, and indicate the Image Code and Orientation for each.
- Click Save.
- Click Submit Attach. The claim status is updated to Awaiting Attachment Confirmation.
- Log into the NEA FastAttach service, locate the associated claim record, confirm, and send the attachments.
- From the Claim Summary in Sensei Cloud, click the Refresh button next to Attachment Ref # to retrieve the attachment reference number from NEA. The attachment reference number is populated and the claim is queued for submission.
- Click Submit Claim.
