To update an appointment status:
- From the Schedule (US) or Diary (UK), click on an Appointment. The Appointment Details window is displayed.
- Select Cancel/Reschedule/Confirm/Unconfirm/Check In/Ready/Seat/Complete.
Note:
-- The options vary based on which part of the process the appointment is in. You might be prompted to enter more information, depending on the selected option, such as when canceling the appointment.
-- The Ready option is only available if your practice has enabled tracking of pre-seated appointment activities. See How to Track Pre-Seated Appointment Activities for more information. - Select X to close the Appointment Details.
Note:
-- You can also edit an appointment status by clicking on the appointment tile and then clicking the Edit (pencil) icon. The Appointment window is displayed. Under Appointment Info, select Scheduled/Checked In/Ready/ Seated/Completed/Cancelled, and then click Update Appointment.
-- For example, if an appointment has been changed to Checked In or Seated in error, you can click the Edit (pencil) icon, click Scheduled under the Appointment Info section, and then click Update Appointment to save the status change.
Changes in the Appointment Status are shown as:
Confirmed: Dark blue triangle in the upper-right of the appointment.
Checked In: Dark blue bar on the right side.
Ready: Dark blue bar with diagonal lines on the right side.
Seated: Entire appointment is dark blue.
Completed: Entire appointment is gray.
Completed and Checked Out: Entire appointment is dark gray.
Appointment Status Widget
You can also view appointment status statistics from the Appointment Status widget in the Springboard (User Menu > Dashboard > Springboard).
Under the Actions menu, click Add Widget, and then click the Plus icon next to Appointment Status to add the widget to your springboard.
Click the Settings/Cog icon to access additional widget options.
From this window, you can:
- Set the date range for the appointments
- Select specific practice locations for the appointments
- Select particular appointment statuses to include
- Choose whether or not to include unscheduled appointments
- Remove the widget from the Springboard view
Note: Click the Settings/Cog icon again to close the options
