The following is a quick reference guide for clinical team members using the image toolbars in the Sensei Imaging software.
Left Toolbar
The following functions are available on the left toolbar:
- Search—Takes you to the search field.
- Select—Enables a single-click selection of images and series. These selections remain until another
operation (such as exporting, printing, or comparing) is performed. - Center—Centers the current image or series in the view if it has been moved or its zoom setting has been changed.
- Zoom In/Out—Enables you to zoom in and out on the image or series. You can also use the scroll
wheel on your mouse. - Enhance Series—Shows the image enhancements menu.
- Label Series—Toggles showing image labels and annotations.
- View Ghosted—Shows and hides additional images. This option is available when additional images are present.
Right Toolbar
The following functions are available on the right toolbar:
- Info—Opens the Info panel, which displays data for the current patient, study, or series of images; this also accesses the Advanced Edit tool.
- Import—Opens the Import panel for importing images.
- Export—Opens the Export panel for exporting large numbers of images.
- Print—Displays the options for printing the current series or selected images. Also, you can save
custom headers and footers and use them later or set default headers and footers. Page size,
orientation, margins, headers and footers can be customized, including the font family, size, style,
alignment, and decoration.
Note: An XVWeb user must have the Print privilege to use this feature. - Share—Enables you to share the current image or study with an existing user on your site or a
temporary user. The user should receive a sharing notification with a link to the patient or study.
Sharing can be unrestricted or restricted, where the user can view only shared patients or studies.
However, nothing can be shared with the Admin user. Restrictions can be removed in the User
Management panel.
Note: An XVWeb user must have the Share privilege to access this feature. - Layouts—Opens the Layout panel, which enables you to arrange the current series in any of the
currently defined layouts. You can also create a new layout or edit an existing one. - XVCapture—Opens XVCapture to acquire images.
- 4BW—Captures a 4BW progression.
- FMX18—Captures an FMX#18 progression.
- PX—Captures a PX (Panoramic image).
- Compare—Presents a new view to compare selected images.
Note: Select the images before you use this function. - Edit—For editing DICOM tags for study, series, and image metadata.

Command Bar
The following tools are available for editing and displaying images:
- Transform—Opens the menu with controls to rotate or flip an image horizontally or vertically.
Changes can be saved to the image. - Rotate—Rotates the image 90 degrees clockwise.
- Horizontal Flip—Mirrors the image horizontally.
- Vertical Flip—Mirrors the image vertically.
- BCG—Opens the menu with controls for temporarily adjusting brightness, contrast, and gamma.
- Spot—Temporarily creates a spot area with your pointing device where the range from dark to light is enhanced based on the strength setting.
- Colorize—Temporarily creates a spot area of the image with a spectrum of color.
- Magnify—Temporarily creates a spot area on an image.
- Enhance—Opens the main enhancement tool. Guidance from a Support representative is recommended.
- Label—Opens the label tool. This enables the user to annotate an image, such as measure, draw,
type text, or place objects onto the image.
