Note: Implanting Tracking functionality is included in some subscription levels or can be purchased as an add-on module.
The Implant Tracking feature must be activated for your practice. When enabled, you can customize the Implant Tracking Master List to fit the needs of your practice. Any of the implants included in the list are available for selection to be recorded in a patient's chart (Patient tab > Clinical > Clinical Chart (EMR)). For more information, see How to Track Implants in the Clinical Chart (EMR).
From the user menu, navigate to Administration > Clinical > Implants. The Implant Tracking Master List is displayed.
An existing database of implants is included with the software, and you can edit it as needed.
Under the Actions menu, you can filter the list by Active, Inactive, or All implants. Active implants display a green A in the Status column of the tracking list, while inactive implants display a red I.
You can also use the Search feature to narrow the list to a specific manufacturer.

Editing Existing List Items
You have the ability to edit the existing implant manufacturers, brands, and sizes. Saved changes are reflected in existing instances within patient records.
You can also inactivate implants in order to narrow your list and make your selection more quickly. For example, you may want to inactivate an implant size for a particular brand that your practice does not use.
Note: Inactivating an implant manufacturer, brand, or size will not remove existing instances from patient records. However, the deactivated item is removed from the selectable options when adding new implants to patient records.
